a 2.5D Platformer

I wanted to share what I've been working on recently!

My inspiration comes from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. I'm developing a 2.5D platformer where the player takes on the role of an ape.

So far, I've implemented most of the player mechanics, such as basic traversal, wall sliding, wall jumping, aerial dash, and sliding.

I've also set up a basic dialogue system using triggers and created a sample environment. I'm currently deciding on my workflow going forward. I'm torn between sticking with a standard 3D blockout approach or transitioning to a 2.5D tile-based system. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, but I need to determine whether I aim for a more realistic world or if I'm content with a retro-style platformer featuring blocky environments. Here are some videos showcasing my start screen and gameplay!
